MEET MATILDA.

Photographer based in Miami, Florida, documenting weddings throughout the United States and abroad for the past 5 years.

It was in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, working for my dad’s boutique photography studio, where I learned the intricacies of bespoke celebrations, and navigating the stylish and particular clientele that come with. My vision for telling these love stories with a distinct edge led me to start my own studio, founded on the principles of timelessness, beauty, and editorial portraiture. My style is heavily influenced by fashion in print and my travels. I have a sharp wit and a calm confidence; always leading with grace.

My work is rooted in my profound affinity for human relationships. Careful observation coupled with a trained eye results in work that can be described as timeless, honest, and beautiful.

My photographs resonate with the intentional couple, who cares deeply for editorial portraiture, romantic posing, and nostalgic color tonality.

  • Yes. I love and encourage them for all of my couples, many of whom come to me with the classic fear of being photographed, nervous about looking “awkward” in their wedding photos. An engagement shoot can help alleviate that apprehension by giving us an opportunity to get to know each other on a deeper level, before the big day. Additionally, an intrinsic part of my work flow is conceptualizing the wedding before I even arrive. I peruse any and all information: mood boards you may have sent me, design decks from your planner, venue highlights, etc. When I arrive to your wedding, I already have a vision in my mind of how I will execute the photography. An engagement shoot provides the last missing piece for me to tell that story and serves as a beautiful way to commemorate this special time.

  • Yes! Wedding photography has taken me from my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio to Miami, Florida. I’ve since been lucky enough to have crossed Cartagena, Colombia off my list and can’t wait to add more destination weddings to my portfolio.

  • Your full collection will be ready in four weeks, and of course a sneak peak within a few days of the wedding. I am a perfectionist when it comes to color.

  • I prefer to work without a shot list. I have an ongoing comprehensive list that gets checked off throughout the day, so trust that I know all of the family formal combos like the back of my hand. I do always tell couples to inform me of any unique family dynamics I should know.

  • I’d love to meet. In person over coffee or a Zoom call. Wedding photography is deeply personal, and I like to set that precedent from the very beginning. Forming a relationship beyond photography with my couples is very important to me. We will talk about how you met, your vision for photos, and all things wedding. Leading up to the day and throughout the planning process I like to be involved! Timeline advice, styling tips, etc. I’m always available to share my expertise. My clients treat me as a friend and confidante. By the time your wedding day comes, you will feel at ease in front of my camera. You may be surprised; dreamy portraiture that feels magical and romantic won’t be so daunting at all.
